The Registration Process
for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2016 will start about 2 to 3 months before the
actual date of Yatra. The Registration for Amarnath Yatra 2016 will be done
through Yatra Registration Counters.
As per the Official News,
the Registration from 2016 Yatra will start from 29th Feb, 2015. Meanwhile
the Board had also updated its Official website for Formats of Registration
form and Health Certificate
Here are some of the
Advisories that yatris must go through before registering themselves for
the Amarnath Yatra 2016.

- Amarnath Yatra 2016
registration and issuance of Yatra Permits (YP) will be done on the "
First Come, First Serve " basis.

- The Registration will
start from 29th Feb, 2016 and there is No Online Registration for the
yatra.

- Registration for the
Amarnath Yatra 2016 will be done at the designated counters of the J&K
Bank throughout the country.In 2016, the Offline registration is done by
432 designated branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Yes Bank, and Punjab
National Banks. The Board, will soon announce the List of Designated
Branches that will do the registration. Once the List, will be announced,
we will update the same on this page.

- The timing for
Registration at the designated branches after the normal banking operations
i.e from 3 PM to 6 PM.

- The Registration will be
done through the Yatra Registration form, that can be downloaded the from
the Official Website. You can also Download the Registration form from this
link

- Along with Yatra
Registration form, you will have to submit the Compulsory Health
Certificate and that too from the authorized Doctor only. Here is the
Format of Health Certificate and Here is the List of Doctors authorized to
issue Health Certificates.

For Issuance of
Yatra Permit, you have to submit these Documents
|

- 4 Passport size
Photographs.
- Duly filled in Yatra
Registration form.
- Compulsory Health
Certificate from authorized doctor, obtained after 10th Feb, 2016.
- If you documents /
Details are in order and correct then the Yatra Registration Officer, will
issue the Yatra Permit, against the Payment of Rs 50/- as Registration fees
for Yatri.

- The Yatris will be given
Colorful Permit Cards as coded for Different Days of Yatra and for
different routes. Here is the Color codes, as approved by the Board

- Online Registration was
started in 2012, but due to some flaws and security concerns, the Online
Registration was discontinued from Yatra 2013 and onwards. So, there will
be No Online registration for yatra in 2013.

- Yatra Permit is the
mandatory document for performing Amarnath Yatra 2016.Without the Yatra
permit the pilgrim will not be allowed to perform the Yatra

- Every Registered Yatri
will be provided free accidental insurance cover of Rs 1 lakh (As in
2015)The Accidental Insurance Cover is only for Registered yatris with
Amarnath Shrine Board, who have been issued valid Yatra Permit Slips.

- Yatris are advised in
their own interest to read the Do's and Don't s of the yatra printed on the
back of the Yatra permit and can can be read from the Official Website.
